| Technical purpose of product or process | This EPD covers Techrete’s Architectural Precast Concrete Cladding Low Carbon Single Skin products, produced from raw materials: white cement, Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs), fine and coarse aggregate, admixtures, and pigments, where required. The reinforcement used in these products is 100% recycled steel. The declared product is 1 m² of the reinforced precast concrete cladding panel. Due to the geometric variability of the cladding, different volumes of concrete and steel are required for each product, so a declared unit of 1 m² of reinforced architectural concrete is used. The average thickness for a flat cladding panel is approximately 150 mm. A novel low-carbon mix design is developed to minimise the environmental impact of raw materials in accordance with BS8500: 2023. | ||
